2	A resolution acknowledging the 50th year anniversary
3	celebration of the Town of Redington Shores.

5	WHEREAS, incorporated in 1955, the Town of Redington Shores
6	covers 220 acres on Florida's west coast, encompassing a total
7	of 6.33 miles of roadways, including 1.19 miles along beautiful
8	Gulf Boulevard, and
9	WHEREAS, from the moment the sun casts its first glimmer
10	over the Boca Ciega Bay until its last rays fade as it slips
11	into the Gulf of Mexico, the Town of Redington Shores beckons
12	visitors and residents alike to bask in the quiet, soothing
13	relaxation of its natural beauty, wide beaches, and pleasant
14	parks, to enjoy the fishing, boating, and water sports afforded
15	by its waters, or to indulge themselves in shopping, arts and
16	culture, theme parks, golfing, and professional sports, and
17	WHEREAS, located midway between Clearwater to the north and
18	St. Petersburg Beach to the south, Redington Shores is only 30
19	minutes from Tampa International Airport and professional
20	football, hockey, soccer, and baseball, and
21	WHEREAS, some 2,500 people call Redington Shores home,
22	while thousands more swell the population during the winter
23	months, spending all or part of the season in the comfort of a
24	beachfront condominium, beach house, cottage, apartment, or
25	perhaps a home on a quiet street, and
26	WHEREAS, on August 30, 2005, the Town of Redington Shores
27	will host an open house to commemorate the 50th anniversary of
28	its incorporation, NOW, THEREFORE,

30	Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of
31	Florida:

33	That the residents of the Town of Redington Shores are
34	heartily congratulated upon the occasion of the 50th anniversary
35	year celebration of their lovely town and are extended sincere
36	wishes for an increasingly bright and happy future.
