| 4 | assistance to enable certain citizens of this state |
| 5 | affected by Hurricane Wilma to return to work; providing a |
| 6 | limit for such assistance; providing an effective date. |

| 8 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |
| 9 |

| 10 | Section 1. The sum of $5 million is appropriated from the |
| 11 | General Revenue Fund to Workforce Florida, Inc., for the 2005- |
| 12 | 2006 fiscal year to provide temporary child care assistance to |
| 13 | enable citizens of this state who became unemployed as a result |
| 14 | of Hurricane Wilma to return to work. A citizen of this state |
| 15 | who became unemployed as a result of Hurricane Wilma and whose |
| 16 | income does not exceed 200 percent of the federal poverty level |
| 17 | is eligible to receive an amount not to exceed $200 per week for |
| 18 | up to 12 weeks for temporary child care assistance from the |
| 19 | funds appropriated in this section. Assistance provided under |
| 20 | this section shall be limited to an amount that, together with |
| 21 | all other child care benefits received by the applicant from any |
| 22 | government entity or private sector source other than a family |
| 23 | member, does not exceed the limit established in this section. |
| 24 | Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law. |
