| 7 | involving, travel to a terrorist state. For purposes of this |
| 8 | section, "terrorist state" is defined as any state, country, or |
| 9 | nation designated by the United States Department of State as a |
| 10 | state sponsor of terrorism. |
| 11 | Section 2. Subsection (6) is added to section 1011.90, |
| 12 | Florida Statutes, to read: |
| 13 | 1011.90 State university funding.-- |
| 14 | (6) None of the state or nonstate funds made available to |
| 15 | state universities may be used to implement, organize, direct, |
| 16 | coordinate, or administer, or to support the implementation, |
| 17 | organization, direction, coordination, or administration of, |
| 18 | activities related to or involving travel to a terrorist state. |
| 19 | For purposes of this section, "terrorist state" is defined as |
| 20 | any state, country, or nation designated by the United States |
| 21 | Department of State as a state sponsor of terrorism. |
| 22 | Section 3. Paragraphs (e), (f), and (g) of subsection (3) |
| 23 | of section 112.061, Florida Statutes, are redesignated as |
| 24 | paragraphs (f), (g), and (h), respectively, and a new paragraph |
| 25 | (e) is added to that subsection to read: |
| 26 | 112.061 Per diem and travel expenses of public officers, |
| 27 | employees, and authorized persons.-- |
| 28 | (3) AUTHORITY TO INCUR TRAVEL EXPENSES.-- |
| 29 | (e) Travel expenses of public officers or employees for |
| 30 | the purpose of implementing, organizing, directing, |
| 31 | coordinating, or administering, or supporting the |
| 32 | implementation, organization, direction, coordination, or |
| 33 | administration of, activities related to or involving travel to |
| 34 | a terrorist state shall not be allowed under any circumstances. |
| 35 | For purposes of this section, "terrorist state" is defined as |
| 36 | any state, country, or nation designated by the United States |
| 37 | Department of State as a state sponsor of terrorism. |
| 38 | Section 4. No state funds made available to a private |
| 39 | college or university in this state may be used to implement, |
| 40 | organize, direct, coordinate, or administer, or to support the |
| 41 | implementation, organization, direction, coordination, or |
| 42 | administration of, activities related to, or involving, travel |
| 43 | to a terrorist state. For purposes of this section, "terrorist |
| 44 | state" is defined as any state, country, or nation designated by |
| 45 | the United States Department of State as a state sponsor of |
| 46 | terrorism. |
| 47 | Section 5. This act shall take effect July 1, 2006. |
