1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to the Florida School
3 Recognition Program; amending s. 1008.36, F.S.;
4 requiring that the faculty and staff who
5 receive nonrecurring bonuses from school
6 recognition awards be employed currently at the
7 school or employed at the school during the
8 year of improved performance; providing an
9 effective date.

11 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

13 Section 1. Subsection (5) of section 1008.36, Florida
14 Statutes, is amended to read:
15 1008.36 Florida School Recognition Program.--
16 (5) School recognition awards must be used for the
17 following:
18 (a) Nonrecurring bonuses to the faculty and staff who
19 are employed currently at the school or who were employed at
20 the school during the year of improved performance;
21 (b) Nonrecurring expenditures for educational
22 equipment or materials to assist in maintaining and improving
23 student performance; or
24 (c) Temporary personnel for the school to assist in
25 maintaining and improving student performance.
26 Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
27 law.
