11 The Committee on Banking and Insurance (Garcia) recommended
12 the following amendment:

14 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
15 On page 1, line 19, through
16 page 2, line 1, delete those lines
17
18 and insert:
19 Section 1. Subsection (8) of section 626.921, Florida
20 Statutes, is amended to read:
21 626.921 Florida Surplus Lines Service Office.--
22 (8)(a) Information furnished to the department under
23 s. 626.923 or contained in the records subject to examination
24 by the department under s. 626.930 is confidential and exempt
25 from the provisions of s. 119.07(1) and s. 24(a), Art. I of
26 the State Constitution if the disclosure of the information
27 would reveal information specific to a particular policy or
28 policyholder. The exemption does not apply to any proceeding
29 instituted by the department or office against an agent or
30 insurer.

1 Service Office under the Surplus Lines Law is confidential and
2 exempt from the provisions of s. 119.07(1) and s. 24(a), Art.
3 I of the State Constitution if the disclosure of the
4 information would reveal information specific to a particular
5 policy or policyholder. However, This exemption does not
6 prevent the disclosure of any information by the Florida
7 Surplus Lines Service Office may, in furtherance of its duties
8 and responsibilities, disclose such information to the
9 department, but the exemption applies to records obtained by
10 the department from the Florida Surplus Lines Service Office.

18 and insert:
19 Lines Service Office; saving the exemption
20 provided for information submitted to the

22 the Open Government Sunset Review Act; revising
23 provisions authorizing the office to disclose
24 information to the department; deleting
25 provisions applying the exemption to
26 information the department receives from the
27 office; deleting provisions that
