  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to a license tax surcharge;

  3         creating s. 320.8045, F.S.; authorizing boards

  4         of county commissioners to levy and impose by a

  5         super majority vote a surcharge upon certain

  6         annual license taxes; specifying the amount of

  7         the surcharge; providing for collection and use

  8         of the surcharge; providing application;

  9         providing an effective date.

11  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

13         Section 1.  Section 320.8045, Florida Statutes, is

14  created to read:

15         320.8045  License tax surcharge; emergency air

16  rescue.--The board of county commissioners of any county may

17  levy and impose, by a three-quarters vote of the total

18  membership of the board, a surcharge in the amount of $5 on

19  each license tax imposed under s. 320.08 except s. 320.08(11).

20  The surcharge shall be collected in the same manner as the

21  license tax and used solely for emergency air rescue purposes.

22  The surcharge shall apply to license taxes levied and imposed

23  on or after July 1, 2006.

24         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2006.
