| 5 | travel experiences; providing an effective date. |

| 7 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |
| 8 |

| 9 | Section 1. (1) The purpose of this act is to prohibit a |
| 10 | life insurance company from refusing to insure, refusing to |
| 11 | continue to insure, limiting the amount, extent, or kind of |
| 12 | coverage available to an individual, or charging an individual a |
| 13 | different rate for the same coverage solely for reasons |
| 14 | associated with an applicant's or insured's past or future |
| 15 | lawful travel experiences. |
| 16 | (2) An insurer may not refuse to insure, refuse to |
| 17 | continue to insure, limit the amount, extent, or kind of life |
| 18 | insurance coverage available to an individual, or charge an |
| 19 | individual a different rate for the same coverage solely for |
| 20 | reasons associated with an applicant's or insured's past or |
| 21 | future lawful travel experiences. |
| 22 | Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2006. |
