| 4 | Remove line(s) 645-675 and insert: |
| 5 | (2) No person shall ride on any vehicle upon any portion |
| 6 | thereof not designed or intended for the use of passengers. This |
| 7 | subsection does not apply to an employee of a fire department, |
| 8 | an employee of a governmentally operated solid waste disposal |
| 9 | department or a waste disposal service operating pursuant to a |
| 10 | contract with a governmental entity, or to a volunteer |
| 11 | firefighter when the employee or firefighter is engaged in the |
| 12 | necessary discharge of a duty and does not apply to a person who |
| 13 | is being transported in response to an emergency by a public |
| 14 | agency or pursuant to the direction or authority of a public |
| 15 | agency. This provision shall not apply to an employee engaged in |
| 16 | the necessary discharge of a duty or to a person or persons |
| 17 | riding within truck bodies in space intended for merchandise. |
| 18 | Any person who violates the provisions of this subsection shall |
| 19 | be cited for a nonmoving violation, punishable as provided in |
| 20 | chapter 318. |
