11  The Committee on Judiciary (Posey) recommended the following
12  amendment:

14         Senate Amendment 
15         On page 3, line 20 through page 4, line 4, delete those
16  lines
17  
18  and insert:  
19         3.  Electioneering communications organizations as
20  defined in subsection (19) Organizations whose activities are
21  limited to making expenditures for electioneering
22  communications or accepting contributions for the purpose of
23  making electioneering communications; however, such
24  organizations shall be required to register with and report
25  expenditures and contributions, including contributions those
26  received from committees of continuous existence, and
27  expenditures to the Division of Elections in the same manner,
28  at the same time, and subject to the same penalties, and with
29  the same filing officer as a political committee supporting or
30  opposing an issue or a legislative a candidate or issue
31  contained in the electioneering communication, except as

 1  otherwise specifically provided in this chapter.  If any such
 2  organization would be required to register and report with
 3  more than one filing officer, the organization shall register
 4  and report solely with the Division of Elections.
