| 8 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |
| 9 |

| 10 | Section 1. Section 490.0149, Florida Statutes, is created |
| 11 | to read: |
| 12 | 490.0149 Specialties.--A psychologist licensed under this |
| 13 | chapter may not hold himself or herself out as a board-certified |
| 14 | specialist or diplomate unless the psychologist has received |
| 15 | formal recognition as a specialist or diplomate from a specialty |
| 16 | board of the American Board of Professional Psychology, Inc., or |
| 17 | other recognizing agency deemed equivalent by the board. |
| 18 | However, a licensed psychologist may indicate the services |
| 19 | offered and may state his or her practice is limited to one or |
| 20 | more types of services when this accurately reflects the scope |
| 21 | of practice of the psychologist. |
| 22 | Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2006. |
