11 The Committee on Health Care (Rich) recommended the following
12 amendment to amendment (913048):

14 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
15 On page 3, between lines 14 and 15,

17 insert:
18 Section 3. Paragraph (b) of subsection (2) of section
19 768.1325, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
20 768.1325 Cardiac Arrest Survival Act; immunity from
21 civil liability.--
22 (2) As used in this section:
23 (b) "Automated external defibrillator device" means a
24 lifesaving defibrillator device that:
25 1. Is commercially distributed in accordance with the
26 Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
27 2. Is capable of recognizing the presence or absence
28 of ventricular fibrillation, and is capable of determining
29 without intervention by the user of the device whether
30 defibrillation should be performed.
31 3. Upon determining that defibrillation should be

1 performed, is able to deliver an electrical shock to an
2 individual.
