1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to delinquency prevention funding;
3	amending s. 985.605, F.S.; providing for an allocation of
4	certain moneys to identified high-crime or high-
5	delinquency areas; providing for the updating and
6	distribution of data; providing an effective date.

8	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10	Section 1.  Subsection (3) is added to section 985.605,
11	Florida Statutes, to read:
12	985.605  Prevention service program; monitoring; uniform
13	performance measures.--
14	(3)  The department shall allocate a proportionate share of
15	all state and federal delinquency prevention appropriations to
16	high-crime or high-delinquency areas as identified by geographic
17	information systems crime mapping zip code data. The department
18	shall update and distribute this data no later than May 1 of
19	each year to the public via its website and to local juvenile
20	justice councils and boards and to appropriate legislative
21	committees.
22	Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2007.
