  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the Florida Recreation

  3         Development Assistance Program; amending s.

  4         375.075, F.S.; increasing the maximum amount of

  5         a project grant which may be awarded to a local

  6         government under the program; providing an

  7         effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10  

11         Section 1.  Subsection (3) of section 375.075, Florida

12  Statutes, is amended to read:

13         375.075  Outdoor recreation; financial assistance to

14  local governments.--

15         (3)  A local government may submit up to two grant

16  applications during each application period announced by the

17  department.  However, a local government may not have more

18  than three active projects expending grant funds during any

19  state fiscal year.  The maximum project grant for each project

20  application may not exceed $500,000 $200,000 in state funds.

21         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

22  law.
