13 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
14 On page 81, lines 1 and 2, delete those lines
15
16 and insert:
17 Section 22. Notwithstanding section 9 of chapter
18 2007-1, Laws of Florida, the internal design option provided
19 in Section 1609.1.4.1, Florida Building Code, Building Volume,
20 and Section R301.2.1.2, Florida Building Code, Residential
21 Volume, shall remain in effect until June 1, 2007, for a
22 building permit application made before that date.
23 Section 23. Section 22 of this act shall take effect
24 upon becoming a law and applies retroactively to January 25,
25 2007, the effective date of chapter 2007-1, Laws of Florida.
26 Section 22 of this act applies to any action taken with
27 respect to a building permit affected by section 9 of chapter
28 2007-1, Laws of Florida, including any actions, legal or
29 ministerial, pertaining to the issuance, revocation, or
30 modifications of any building permit initiated or issued
31 before, on, or after January 25, 2007, or pending as of

1 January 25, 2007. If the retroactivity of any provision of
2 Section 22 of this act or its retroactive application to any
3 person or circumstance is held invalid, the invalidity does
4 not affect the retroactivity or retroactive application of
5 other provisions of Section 22 of this act.
6 Section 24. Except as otherwise expressly provided in
7 this act, this act shall take effect upon becoming a law.

11 And the title is amended as follows:
12 On page 5, line 1, after the semicolon,
13
14 insert:
15 providing that the internal design option of
16 the Florida Building Code remains in effect
17 until a specified date for a building permit
18 application made before that date,
19 notwithstanding provisions of ch. 2007-1, Laws
20 of Florida; providing an effective date and for
21 retroactive application; applying the act to
22 any actions taken with respect to a building
23 permit affected by such prior act;
