11 The Committee on Community Affairs (Hill) recommended the
12 following amendment:

14 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
15 On page 5, between lines 11 and 12,

17 insert:
18 Section 2. Subsection (1) of section 327.803, Florida
19 Statutes, is amended to read:
20 327.803 Boating Advisory Council.--
21 (1) The Boating Advisory Council is created within the
22 Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and shall be
23 composed of 19 18 members. The members include:
24 (a) One representative from the Fish and Wildlife
25 Conservation Commission, who shall serve as the chair of the
26 council.
27 (b) One representative each from the Department of
28 Environmental Protection, the United States Coast Guard
29 Auxiliary, the United States Power Squadron, and the inland
30 navigation districts.
31 (c) One representative of manatee protection

1 interests, one representative of the marine industries, one
2 representative of water-related environmental groups, one
3 representative of canoe or kayak enthusiasts, one
4 representative of marine manufacturers, one representative of
5 commercial vessel owners or operators, one representative of
6 marine special events, one representative actively involved
7 and working full-time in the scuba diving industry who has
8 experience in recreational boating, one representative of
9 either the commercial fishing industry or the commercial
10 shellfishing industry, one representative of the recreational
11 airboating community, and two representatives of the boating
12 public, each of whom shall be nominated by the executive
13 director of the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and
14 appointed by the Governor to serve staggered 3-year terms.
15 Members appointed by the Governor may serve no more than two
16 full consecutive terms.
17 (d) One member of the House of Representatives, who
18 shall be appointed by the Speaker of the House of
19 Representatives.
20 (e) One member of the Senate, who shall be appointed
21 by the President of the Senate.
