Provides $750,000 to the Department of Education to initiate a contract 

with an independent provider to conduct a study of the calculation 

components of the Florida Education Finance Program.

Immediately following existing proviso for Specific Appropriation 108, 
INSERT:

From the funds provided in Specific Appropriation 108, $750,000 is 
provided to the Department of Education to negotiate a contract pursuant 
to Chapter 287, Florida Statutes, with a research entity not affiliated 
in any manner with any Florida college or university and whose principal 
place of business is not geographically located in the State of Florida 
to conduct a study of the calculation components of the Florida 
Education Finance Program. The study shall be completed and shall be 
reported to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the President

of the Senate, the Executive Office of the Governor, and the 
Commissioner of Education by December 31, 2007. 

Line item amendments are accepted as part of the amendatory process.  However, due to the necessity of using computerized systems this may entail a different placement
within a budget entity or the renumbering of the specific appropriation items.
