24 Section 3. The Broward County Board of County
25 Commissioners shall schedule an election on March 11,
26 2008, in accordance with the provisions of the law
27 relating to elections currently in force in Broward
28 County. The subject of said election shall be the
29 annexation of the subject area described in section 1.
30 Only registered voters residing in the subject area as
31 described in this act may vote in said election. Mail

1 ballots shall not be used in this election; however,
2 voters may vote by absentee ballots, as provided by
3 law.
4 Section 4. Upon a majority of the registered
5 voters residing in the subject area voting for
6 annexation into the City of Tamarac, the area
7 described in section 1, the Prospect Field Road/West
8 Commercial Boulevard Annexation Boundary, shall be
9 deemed a part of said municipality on September 15,
10 2008, pursuant to section 171.062, Florida Statutes,
11 and chapters 96-542 and 99-447, Laws of Florida,
12 except as provided in this act.
13 Section 5. The areas described in section 2,
14 the Continental Plaza Annexation Boundary and the West
15 Commercial Boulevard/NW 31st Avenue Annexation
16 Boundary, shall be deemed a part of the City of
17 Tamarac on September 15, 2008, pursuant to section
18 171.062, Florida Statutes, and chapters 96-542 and
19 99-447, Laws of Florida.
20 Section 6. An interlocal agreement shall be
21 developed between the governing bodies of Broward
22 County and the City of Tamarac, and executed prior to
23 the effective date of the
