| 5 | Remove line(s) 252-267, and insert: |
| 6 | (1)(a) Ad valorem taxes may not be levied in excess of a |
| 7 | millage rate equal to the rolled-back rate as defined in s. |
| 8 | 200.065 and shall remain frozen until the Taxation and Budget |
| 9 | Reform Commission places a tax relief and reform measure on the |
| 10 | ballot which becomes a part of the State Constitution. |
| 11 | (b) This subsection does not apply to taxing authorities |
| 12 | that have levied ad valorem taxes for 5 years or less. |
| 13 | (2)(a) For the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2007, ad |
| 14 | valorem taxes may not be levied in excess of the maximum millage |
| 15 | rate that would have resulted from application of subsection (1) |
| 16 | if subsection (1) had been in effect beginning January 1, 2005, |
| 17 | and had been applied each year up to and including the fiscal |
| 18 | year beginning October 1, 2006. |
