| 6 | WHEREAS, Travis Walker was born in Tallahassee on June 22, |
| 7 | 1979, and played football for Rickards High School, and |
| 8 | WHEREAS, known professionally as "Freight Train," Travis |
| 9 | Walker took up boxing less than a decade ago, became the 2003 |
| 10 | National Golden Gloves Super Heavyweight Champion, and became a |
| 11 | professional boxer in 2004, having since scored numerous |
| 12 | impressive wins, including seventeen knockouts, and |
| 13 | WHEREAS, Travis Walker remained undefeated after more than |
| 14 | twenty fights and, after managing a knockdown, scored one of his |
| 15 | biggest wins in 2006 with a majority decision over previously |
| 16 | undefeated, three-time national champion Jason Estrada, and |
| 17 | WHEREAS, on April 6, 2007, Travis Walker fought George |
| 18 | Garcia, another undefeated fighter who had beaten Mr. Walker as |
| 19 | a star amateur, and was victorious, and |
| 20 | WHEREAS, this win earned Travis Walker the International |
| 21 | Boxing Association Americas Heavyweight Title, NOW, THEREFORE, |

| 23 | Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of |

| 26 | That Travis Walker, a sports champion, is commended for his |
| 27 | impressive career in boxing, is heartily congratulated for |
| 28 | earning the International Boxing Association Americas |
| 29 | Heavyweight Title, and is offered best wishes in his future |
| 30 | endeavors. |
| 31 | BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be |
| 32 | presented to Travis Walker as a tangible token of the sentiments |
| 33 | expressed herein. |
