The Committee on Health Regulation (Fasano) recommended the

following amendment:

Medical Education or the Royal College of Physicians and

9

Surgeons of Canada. However, a physician may indicate the

10

services offered and may state that his or her practice is

11

limited to one or more types of services if when this accurately

12

reflects the scope of practice of the physician.

     Section 2.  Section 459.0152, Florida Statutes, is amended

14

to read:

15

     459.0152  Specialties.--An osteopathic physician licensed

16

under this chapter may not hold himself or herself out as a

17

board-certified specialist unless the osteopathic physician has

18

successfully completed the requirements for certification by the

19

American Osteopathic Association or the Accreditation Council on

20

Graduate Medical Education and is certified as a specialist by a

21

certifying agency approved by the board. An osteopathic

22

physician licensed under this chapter who completes his or her

23

board certification after January 1, 2009, may not hold himself

24

or herself out as a board-certified emergency osteopathic

25

physician unless the osteopathic physician has received formal

26

recognition as a specialist from a recognized agency approved by

27

the board and has completed a residency training program in

28

emergency medicine which is approved by the American Osteopathic

29

Association or the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical
