     Section 66. A person must successfully complete a basic

8

driver improvement course that meets the requirements of s.

9

318.1451, Florida Statutes, within 3 months before the date the

10

person applies for a regular Florida Class E driver's license,

11

regardless of whether the person is the holder of a learner's

12

driver's license. The requirement for completing a basic driver

13

improvement course does not apply to an applicant for a learner's

14

driver's license or to a license renewal. Active duty United

15

States military personnel are exempt from the requirements of

16

this section.
