| 11 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |
| 12 |

| 13 | Section 1. Paragraph (f) is added to subsection (1) of |
| 14 | section 320.0848, Florida Statutes, to read: |
| 15 | 320.0848 Persons who have disabilities; issuance of |
| 16 | disabled parking permits; temporary permits; permits for certain |
| 17 | providers of transportation services to persons who have |
| 18 | disabilities.-- |

| 20 | (f) The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles is |
| 21 | authorized to issue up to five disabled parking permits to any |
| 22 | health care facility or organization that provides care or |
| 23 | treatment to persons meeting the qualifications for a permit |
| 24 | under this section. The facility or organization may make the |
| 25 | permits available for use by a qualifying person during the time |
| 26 | period the person is receiving services from the facility or |
| 27 | organization. All permits issued under this paragraph are the |
| 28 | responsibility of the recipient facility or organization. The |
| 29 | facility or organization shall report to the department within |
| 30 | 10 business days any unreturned permits. The department shall |
| 31 | immediately cancel the unreturned permits. |
| 32 | Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2008. |
