| 7 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |
| 8 |

| 9 | Section 1. Paragraph (u) is added to subsection (3) of |
| 10 | section 408.036, Florida Statutes, to read: |
| 11 | 408.036 Projects subject to review; exemptions.-- |
| 12 | (3) EXEMPTIONS.--Upon request, the following projects are |
| 13 | subject to exemption from the provisions of subsection (1): |
| 14 | (u) For the addition of geriatric acute-care, in-patient |
| 15 | psychiatric specialty hospital beds. |
| 16 | Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2008. |
