3     Amendment to Amendment (615905) (with title amendment)
4     Between line(s) 1988 and 1989, insert:
5     Section 48.  Subsection (15) is added to section 311.125,
6Florida Statutes, to read:
7     311.125  Uniform Port Access Credential System.--
8(15)  The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles
9may accept a Transportation Security Administration's
10Transportation Worker Identification Credential card in lieu of
11the Uniform Port Access Credential Card required under this
12section. For purposes of s. 311.12, state seaports shall accept
13the criminal history and security threat assessment conducted on
14individuals holding a valid Transportation Worker Identification
15Credential card as sufficient to authorize unescorted access to
16a seaport or restricted access area; provided that state
17seaports shall request in writing from the individual whether
18they have received a federal criminal history waiver and the
19reason for such waiver. Such information shall not be subject to
20disclosure pursuant to federal law; however, the information
21shall be submitted to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
22The department may set and collect a fee for entering a
23Transportation Worker Identification Credential cardholder into
24the Uniform Port Access Credential System. The fee may not
25exceed the department's actual cost.
