The Committee on Transportation (Baker) recommended the

following amendment:

     Between lines 1491 and 1492,

insert:

     Section 36.  Section 322.36, Florida Statutes, is amended

8

to read:

9

     322.36 Permitting unauthorized operator to drive.--A No

10

person may not shall authorize or knowingly permit a motor

11

vehicle owned by him or her or under his or her dominion or

12

control to be operated upon any highway or public street except

13

by a person who is persons duly authorized to operate a motor

14

vehicle vehicles under the provisions of this chapter. Any

15

person who violates violating this section commits provision is

16

guilty of a misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable as

17

provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083. If a person violates this

18

section by knowingly loaning a vehicle to a person whose

19

driver's license is suspended and if that vehicle is involved in

20

an accident resulting in bodily injury or death, the driver's

21

license of the person violating this section shall be suspended

22

for 1 year.

insert:

amending s. 322.36, F.S.; requiring the suspension for a

29

specified period of the driver's license of a person who

30

loans a vehicle to a person whose driver's license is

suspended if that vehicle is involved in an accident

32

resulting in bodily injury or death;
