| 11 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |
| 12 |

| 13 | Section 1. Subsection (3) is added to section 258.014, |
| 14 | Florida Statutes, to read: |
| 15 | 258.014 Fees for use of state parks.-- |
| 16 | (3) The Division of Recreation and Parks shall waive |
| 17 | admission fees for all active duty military personnel, and the |
| 18 | spouse and minor child of such person, with valid |
| 19 | identification, on the Memorial Day holiday and for all visitors |
| 20 | on the Veterans' Day holiday in honor of those who have served |
| 21 | in the United States Armed Forces. The division is also |
| 22 | encouraged to hold special events and take other actions |
| 23 | appropriate to show the appreciation for those who have served |
| 24 | our country in the Armed Forces. |
| 25 | Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2008. |
