1	House Resolution
2	A resolution acknowledging the creation of the "Officer
3	Down" Law Enforcement Memorial Sculpture being placed at
4	the existing memorial site between the old and new Capitol
5	buildings.

7	WHEREAS, the current Law Enforcement Memorial between the
8	old and new Capitol buildings honors and recognizes those
9	officers who have paid the ultimate price in protecting
10	Florida's residents and upholding state law, and
11	WHEREAS, the Law Enforcement Memorial is enhanced by having
12	a figurative bronze sculpture representing the potential
13	sacrifice Florida's law enforcement officers face every day, and
14	WHEREAS, private funds have been raised through the Florida
15	Police Benevolent Association to provide for the sculpture
16	entitled "Officer Down," and
17	WHEREAS, the Department of Management Services has approved
18	the location of the sculpture, and
19	WHEREAS, the "Officer Down" sculpture will continue to
20	bring honor and recognition to Florida's fallen law enforcement
21	officers, NOW, THEREFORE,

23	Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of
24	Florida:

26	That the Law Enforcement Memorial is enhanced by the
27	addition of a figurative bronze sculpture in recognition of
28	Florida's fallen law enforcement officers.
