       Senator Lawson moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Substitute for Amendment (946048) (with directory
    2  and title amendments)
    3  
    4         Between lines 36 and 37
    5  insert:
    6         (4)Except for a hospital licensed under chapter 395 or a
    7  provider providing services pursuant to s. 395.1041 or part III
    8  of chapter 401, a provider who accepts an assignment pursuant to
    9  this section shall accept the direct payment from the insurer as
   10  payment in full for the services provided and may not bill or
   11  attempt to collect any balance of charges from the insured.

   14         And the directory clause is amended as follows:
   15         Delete line 19
   16  and insert:
   17  Statutes, is amended, and subsection (4) is added to that
   18  section, to read:

   21         And the title is amended as follows:
   22         Delete line 14
   23  and insert:
   24  payment; requiring that certain providers accept the direct
   25  payment from an insurer as payment in full; prohibiting attempts
   26  to collect any balance of charges from the insured; providing an
   27  effective date.
