       The Committee on Communications, Energy, and Public Utilities
       (King) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 15 - 21
    4  and insert:
    5         Section 1. (1) The Florida Renewable Energy Trust Fund is
    6  created within, and shall be administered by, the Florida Energy
    7  and Climate Commission. Moneys deposited into the trust fund
    8  shall be from federal grants made available for renewable
    9  energy, moneys appropriated from general revenue, moneys
   10  deposited from the carbon-reduction fee created in s. 525.09,
   11  Florida Statutes, donations, and other sources designated by
   12  law. The purpose of the trust fund is to provide funding to
   13  facilitate the development and implementation of renewable
   14  energy and energy efficiency programs and projects. Of the
   15  moneys deposited from the carbon-reduction fee, 1 percent shall
   16  be used for purposes of the Solar Energy System Incentives
   17  Program created in s. 377.806, Florida Statutes, and the
   18  remainder shall be used for the purposes of the Renewable Energy
   19  and Energy-Efficient Technologies Grants Program created in s.
   20  377.804, Florida Statutes.
