    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to the Renewable Energy and Energy
    3         Efficient Technologies Grant Program; amending s.
    4         377.804, F.S.; requiring that funds from the Florida
    5         Renewable Energy Trust Fund be used for the Renewable
    6         Energy and Energy-Efficient Technologies Grant
    7         Program; providing an effective date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   10         
   11         Section 1. Subsection (1) of section 377.804, Florida
   12  Statutes, is amended to read:
   13         377.804 Renewable Energy and Energy-Efficient Technologies
   14  Grants Program.—
   15         (1) The Renewable Energy and Energy-Efficient Technologies
   16  Grants Program is established within the commission to provide
   17  renewable energy matching grants for demonstration,
   18  commercialization, research, and development projects relating
   19  to renewable energy technologies and innovative technologies
   20  that significantly increase energy efficiency for vehicles and
   21  commercial buildings. Funds from the Florida Renewable Energy
   22  Trust Fund shall be used for this program.
   23         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2009.
