| 9 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |
| 10 |
|
| 11 | Section 1. Paragraph (qqq) is added to subsection (4) of |
| 12 | section 320.08056, Florida Statutes, to read: |
| 13 | 320.08056 Specialty license plates.-- |
| 14 | (4) The following license plate annual use fees shall be |
| 15 | collected for the appropriate specialty license plates: |
| 16 | (qqq) Bay of Pigs Museum & Library license plate, $25. |
| 17 | Section 2. Subsection (69) is added to section 320.08058, |
| 18 | Florida Statutes, to read: |
| 19 | 320.08058 Specialty license plates.-- |
| 20 | (69) BAY OF PIGS MUSEUM & LIBRARY LICENSE PLATES.-- |
| 21 | (a) The department shall develop a Bay of Pigs Museum & |
| 22 | Library license plate as provided in this section. Bay of Pigs |
| 23 | Museum & Library license plates must bear the colors and design |
| 24 | approved by the department. The word "Florida" must appear at |
| 25 | the top of the plate, and the words "Bay of Pigs Museum & |
| 26 | Library" must appear at the bottom of the plate. |
| 27 | (b) The license plate annual use fees shall be distributed |
| 28 | to the Bay of Pigs Museum and Library to fund its activities, |
| 29 | programs, and projects within the state. The Bay of Pigs Museum |
| 30 | and Library may retain all revenue from the annual use fees |
| 31 | until all startup costs for developing and establishing the |
| 32 | plate have been recovered. Thereafter, up to 5 percent of the |
| 33 | annual use fee revenue may be used for administrative costs and |
| 34 | up to 20 percent may be used for promotion and marketing of the |
| 35 | specialty license plate. |
| 36 | Section 3. This act shall take effect October 1, 2009. |
