    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to drainage and water control;
    3         amending s. 298.225, F.S.; deleting an obsolete
    4         provision relating to the definition of the term
    5         “water control plan”; providing an effective date.
    6         
    7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    8         
    9         Section 1. Subsection (1) of section 298.225, Florida
   10  Statutes, is amended to read:
   11         298.225 Water control plan; plan development and
   12  amendment.—
   13         (1) Effective October 1, 1998, Any plan of reclamation,
   14  water management plan, or plan of improvement developed and
   15  implemented by a water control district created by this chapter
   16  or by special act of the Legislature is considered a “water
   17  control plan” for purposes of this chapter.
   18         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2009.
