       The Committee on Criminal Justice (Deutch) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (183722) 
    2         
    3         Delete lines 44 - 46
    4  and insert:
    5         (b) Negligent hiring of the sports coach if the sanctioning
    6  authority did not conduct a screening of the sports coach by
    7  participating in the Volunteer and Employee Criminal History
    8  System of the Department of Law Enforcement and make a
    9  reasonable effort to contact references.
