       The Committee on Community Affairs (Bennett) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 45 and 46
    4  insert:
    5         Section 2. Subsection (3) is added to section 145.19,
    6  Florida Statutes, to read:
    7         145.19 Annual percentage increases based on increase for
    8  state career service employees; limitation.—
    9         (3) Notwithstanding any provisions of this chapter to the
   10  contrary, the adjusted salary rates for the 2009-2010 and 2010
   11  2011 fiscal years for all officials listed in this chapter,
   12  district school board members pursuant to s. 1001.395, and
   13  elected district school superintendents pursuant to s. 1001.47,
   14  shall be the same as the adjusted salary rates for such
   15  individuals calculated for the 2008-2009 fiscal year.

   18         And the title is amended as follows:
   19         Delete everything before the enacting clause
   20  and insert:
   21  An act relating to county government; amending s. 125.35, F.S.;
   22  authorizing boards of county commissioners to lease certain
   23  county property for a limited term; amending s. 145.19, F.S.;
   24  requiring that the adjusted salary rates of certain county
   25  officers be the same for the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 fiscal
   26  years as the adjusted salary rates for such individuals
   27  calculated for the 2008-2009 fiscal year; providing an effective
   28  date.
