(Ring) recommended the following:

4 insert:
5 Section 23. Subsection (2) of section 288.95155, Florida
6 Statutes, is amended to read:
7 288.95155 Florida Small Business Technology Growth
8 Program.—
9 (2) Enterprise Florida, Inc., shall establish a separate
10 small business technology growth account in the Florida
11 Technology Research Investment Fund for purposes of this
12 section. Moneys in the account shall consist of appropriations
13 by the Legislature, proceeds of any collateral used to secure
14 such assistance, transfers, fees assessed for providing or
15 processing such financial assistance, grants, interest earnings,
16 and earnings on financial assistance. Enterprise Florida, Inc.
17 may advance from the account up to $600,000 in the aggregate to
18 the Institute for Commercialization of Public Research for its
19 operations. Subject to the authority and limitations in
20 subsections (3) and (4), Enterprise Florida, Inc. may grant
21 awards of assistance to companies under the auspices of the
22 Institute which are seeking to commercial technologies pursuant
23 to programs of the Institute.

33 Research; authorizing Enterprise Florida, Inc. to
34 grant awards; amending ss. 257.193, 288.019, and
