    1                          Senate Resolution                        
    2         A resolution recognizing March 8—15, 2009, as “Patient
    3         Safety Awareness Week” in Florida.
    4  
    5         WHEREAS, Patient Safety Awareness Week is an educational
    6  and awareness-building campaign for improving patient safety,
    7  and
    8         WHEREAS, Patient Safety Awareness Week is observed March 8
    9  15, 2009, nationally and in Florida, and
   10         WHEREAS, the Florida Patient Safety Corporation and
   11  Florida’s health care delivery system are committed, in
   12  partnership with patients and providers, to continually
   13  improving patient safety, and
   14         WHEREAS, the Florida Patient Safety Corporation and
   15  Florida’s health care delivery system are engaged in a variety
   16  of activities to enhance patient safety for Florida residents,
   17  and
   18         WHEREAS, the Florida Legislature seeks to improve the
   19  quality and safety of health care and to reduce potential harm
   20  to patients, NOW, THEREFORE,

   22  Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:
   23  
   24         That the Florida Senate recognizes March 8—15, 2009, as
   25  “Patient Safety Awareness Week” in Florida.
