3     Amendment
4     Remove lines 1782-1845 and insert:
5     (e)  Submit additional information or documentation
6requested by the office and required by rule concerning the
7applicant or a control person of the applicant. Additional
8information may include documentation of pending and prior
9disciplinary and criminal history events, including arrest
10reports and certified copies of charging documents, plea
11agreements, judgments and sentencing documents, documents
12relating to pretrial intervention, orders terminating probation
13or supervised release, final administrative agency orders, or
14other comparable documents that may provide the office with the
15appropriate information to determine eligibility for licensure.
16     (f)  Submit any other information required by the registry
17for the processing of the application.
18     (3)  An application is considered received for the purposes
19of s. 120.60 upon the office's receipt of all documentation from
20the registry, including the completed application form and
21criminal history information, as well as the license application
22fee, the fee required by s. 492.00172, and all applicable
23fingerprinting processing fees.
24     (4)(a)  The office shall issue a mortgage broker license to
25each person who is not otherwise ineligible and who meets the
26requirements of this section. However, it is a ground for denial
27of licensure if the applicant or one of the applicant's control
28persons:
29     1.  Has committed any violation specified in ss. 494.001-
30494.0077, or is the subject of a pending felony criminal
31prosecution or a prosecution or an administrative enforcement
32action, in any jurisdiction, which involves fraud, dishonesty,
33breach of trust, money laundering, or any other act of moral
34turpitude.
35     2.  Has failed to demonstrate the character, general
36fitness, and financial responsibility necessary to command the
37confidence of the community and warrant a determination that the
38applicant will operate honestly, fairly, and efficiently.
39     (b)  If the office has information that could form the
40basis for license denial under this subsection, before denying
41the license, the office must notify the applicant in writing of
42the specific items of concern and provide the applicant with an
43opportunity to explain the circumstances surrounding the
44specific items and provide any information that the applicant
45believes is relevant to the office's determination.
