| 4 | Remove lines 226-248 and insert: |
| 5 | 1. Up to 10 percent of the proceeds from the annual use |
| 6 | fee may be used for the cost of administration, marketing, and |
| 7 | promotion of the Autism License Plate Fund, the Autism Services |
| 8 | Grant Council, and related matters, including annual audit and |
| 9 | compliance affidavit costs. |
| 10 | 2. Funds may be used as necessary for annual audit or |
| 11 | compliance affidavit costs. |
| 12 | 3. Thirty-five percent of the proceeds from the annual use |
| 13 | fee shall be used to establish and operate programs to support |
| 14 | individuals with autism and related disabilities and their |
| 15 | families through direct services, evaluation, training, and |
| 16 | awareness in the state. |
| 17 | 4. The Center for Autism and Related Disabilities at the |
| 18 | University of Miami shall receive 15 percent of the proceeds |
| 19 | from the annual use fee for distribution, as determined |
| 20 | appropriate by the director of that center, to the seven |
| 21 | regional autism centers created under s. 1004.55. The regional |
| 22 | centers shall use the proceeds to support the services they |
| 23 | provide. |
| 24 | 5. The remaining proceeds from the annual use fee shall be |
| 25 | available to the Autism Services Grant Council for grants to |
| 26 | nonprofit organizations to operate direct services programs for |
| 27 | individuals with autism and related disabilities and their |
