       The Policy and Steering Committee on Ways and Means (Deutch)
       recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete line 58
    4  and insert:
    5  whichever occurs earlier, except:
    6         (a) A parent, legal guardian, or other authorized person
    7  must adhere to the immunization schedule required by 42 C.F.R.
    8  1396s for his or her child if the child is participating in the
    9  Vaccines for Children Program administered by the Department of
   10  Health.
   11         (b) A physician is not required to adhere to an
   12  immunization schedule that he or she believes does not comply
   13  with the proper medical standard of care.

   18  and insert:
