The Policy and Steering Committee on Ways and Means (Baker and
Lawson) recommended the following:
1 Senate Amendment to Amendment (218970) (with title
2 amendment)

4 Delete lines 16 - 34
5 and insert:
6 Section 11. (1) Pursuant to s. 215.619(1), Florida
7 Statutes, the issuance of $50 million of Everglades Restoration
8 bonds is authorized, in addition to any previously authorized
9 bonds. For the 2009-2010 fiscal year, the sum of $4,991,600 is
10 appropriated from the Save Our Everglades Trust Fund to the
11 Department of Environmental Protection for debt service on the
12 new bonds.
13 (2) The sum of $47 million is appropriated from the Save
14 Our Everglades Trust Fund to the Department of Environmental
15 Protection for the design and construction of Comprehensive
16 Everglades Restoration Plan components, Lake Okeechobee
17 Protection Plan components, and Caloosahatchee and St. Lucie
18 River Watershed Protection Plan components, and for the
19 acquisition of lands needed for these project components. The
20 sum of $3 million is appropriated from the Save Our Everglades
21 Trust Fund to the Department of Environmental Protection for
22 transfer to the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services
23 into the General Inspection Trust Fund to fund activities
24 authorized in subsection (3).
