| 6 | WHEREAS, with commitment, determination, and hard work, the |
| 7 | 2008-2009 Cocoa High School Boys' Basketball Team won the |
| 8 | Florida High School Athletic Association Class 4A State |
| 9 | Championship on March 7, 2009, at The Lakeland Center by beating |
| 10 | Frank W. Springstead High School, by a score of 75 to 60, and |
| 11 | WHEREAS, along the way to claiming the State Championship |
| 12 | title, the 2008-2009 Cocoa High School Boys' Basketball Team |
| 13 | compiled a 30-3 season record, and |
| 14 | WHEREAS, outstanding skill, sportsmanship, and |
| 15 | competitiveness have been characteristics consistently |
| 16 | demonstrated by Tigers teammates Jesse Capell, Reggie Clark, |
| 17 | Brandon Grubbs, Leon Henry, Lorenzo Hill, D'Mario Hollingsworth, |
| 18 | E.J. Johnson, Kenny Jones, Ronald Patrick, Maurice Pugh, Julius |
| 19 | Reid, Winfred Strickland, Josh Woods, Ellis Young, and Matt |
| 20 | Younger and head coach James Rowe, and |
| 21 | WHEREAS, it is with great pride that the 2008-2009 Cocoa |
| 22 | High School Boys' Basketball Team is applauded for the numerous |
| 23 | accomplishments of its players and coaches, NOW, THEREFORE, |

| 28 | That the Florida House of Representatives honors the 2008- |
| 29 | 2009 Cocoa High School Boys' Basketball Team for their |
