       The Committee on Policy and Steering Committee on Ways and Means
       (Garcia, Siplin, and Wise) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2         
    3         Between lines 530 and 531
    4  insert:
    5  Section 16. If the Commissioner of Education determines that a
    6  school district acted in good faith, he or she may waive the
    7  equal-dollar reduction required in s. 1011.71(5), Florida
    8  Statutes, for expenditures for property and casualty insurance
    9  made between May 1 and December 31, 2007, and for the audit
   10  findings for the 2006-2007 fiscal year related to the purchase
   11  of software.

   15         Delete line 62
   16  and insert:
   17  year; authorizing the Commissioner of Education to waive the

   20  audit findings for a specified fiscal year related to the
   21  purchase of software, if the commissioner determines that a
   22  school district acted in good faith; incorporating by reference
   23  certain calculations
