1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to road and bridge designations;
3 designating Veterans Memorial Highway and Sergeant
4 Ricky Lord Road in Gilchrist County; designating
5 Anthony J. Perez Street in Miami-Dade County;
6 designating the Kenneth H. “Buddy” MacKay and Jim H.
7 Williams Memorial Bridge in Ocala; directing the
8 Department of Transportation to erect suitable
9 markers; providing an effective date.

11 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

13 Section 1. Veterans Memorial Highway designated; Department
14 of Transportation to erect suitable markers.—
15 (1) That portion of State Road 26 between the Levy County
16 line and the Alachua County line in Gilchrist County is
17 designated as “Veterans Memorial Highway.”
18 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
19 suitable markers designating Veterans Memorial Highway as
20 described in subsection (1).
21 Section 2. Sergeant Ricky Lord Road designated; Department
22 of Transportation to erect suitable markers.—
23 (1) County Road 313 in Gilchrist County is designated as
24 “Sergeant Ricky Lord Road.”
25 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
26 suitable markers designating Sergeant Ricky Lord Road as
27 described in subsection (1).
28 Section 3. Anthony J. Perez Street designated; Department
29 of Transportation to erect suitable markers.—
30 (1) That portion of 40th Street (Bird Road) between 102nd
31 Avenue and 117th Avenue in Miami-Dade County is designated as
32 “Anthony J. Perez Street.”
33 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
34 suitable markers designating Anthony J. Perez Street as
35 described in subsection (1).
36 Section 4. Kenneth H. “Buddy” MacKay and Jim H. Williams
37 Memorial Bridge designated; Department of Transportation to
38 erect suitable markers.—
39 (1) The bridge on 17th Street in Ocala is designated as the
40 “Kenneth H. ‘Buddy’ MacKay and Jim H. Williams Memorial Bridge.”
41 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
42 suitable markers designating the Kenneth H. “Buddy” MacKay and
43 Jim H. Williams Memorial Bridge as described in subsection (1).
44 Section 5. This act shall take effect July 1, 2010.
