    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to the Peace Creek Drainage District,
    3         Polk County; abolishing the district; providing for
    4         transfer of assets and indebtedness; repealing special
    5         acts relating to the district; providing an effective
    6         date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    9  
   10         Section 1. The Peace Creek Drainage District, a district
   11  existing under chapter 298, Florida Statutes, is abolished and
   12  its assets and indebtedness, if any, in accordance with section
   13  189.444, Florida Statutes, are transferred to the Southwest
   14  Florida Water Management District on July 1, 2010.
   15         Section 2. Chapters 7090 (1915), 13721 (1929), 19380
   16  (1939), 19414 (1939), 19627 (1939), 20803 (1941), and 22881
   17  (1945), Laws of Florida, are repealed.
   18         Section 3. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
