    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to the City of Weeki Wachee, Hernando
    3         County; amending chapter 2004-432, Laws of Florida;
    4         limiting the rate of ad valorem taxation on real
    5         property; prohibiting the levy of ad valorem taxes on
    6         tangible personal property; providing an effective
    7         date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   10  
   11         Section 1. Section 3 of chapter 2004-432, Laws of Florida,
   12  is amended to read:
   13         Section 3. The rate amount of ad valorem taxation taxes
   14  levied by the City of Weeki Wachee annually on real and personal
   15  property within the geographic boundaries of the city may not
   16  exceed .001 mill on 3 percent per annum of the taxes levied of
   17  the total assessed valuation of the property. The City of Weeki
   18  Wachee may not levy ad valorem taxes on tangible personal
   19  property.
   20         Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
