    1                          Senate Resolution                        
    2         A resolution recognizing the First Annual City of
    3         Niceville Boggy Bayou BBQ Throwdown.
    4  
    5         WHEREAS, the City of Niceville strives to provide the
    6  highest level of public services to its citizens, and
    7         WHEREAS, the public servants and citizens of the City of
    8  Niceville recognize the vital work of the American Cancer
    9  Society in providing programs aimed at reducing the incidence
   10  and mortality rate of cancer and improving the quality of life
   11  of those whose lives are touched by the disease, and
   12         WHEREAS, the City of Niceville is hosting the First Annual
   13  Boggy Bayou BBQ Throwdown in conjunction with the American
   14  Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, with proceeds from the event
   15  benefiting the American Cancer Society and community
   16  recreational programs, and
   17         WHEREAS, the First Annual City of Niceville Boggy Bayou BBQ
   18  Throwdown has been sanctioned by the International Barbeque
   19  Cookers Association and will provide an opportunity for
   20  participants to gain credibility and earn prequalifying status
   21  for larger competitions around the country, NOW, THEREFORE,
   22  
   23  Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:

   25         That the members of the Senate recognize the City of
   26  Niceville on the occasion of the First Annual Boggy Bayou BBQ
   27  Throwdown and wish all involved great success in the 2010
   28  inaugural year and in years to come.
