    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to bingo; amending s. 849.0931, F.S.;
    3         authorizing the dispensing of instant bingo tickets by
    4         electronic or mechanical devices; requiring that such
    5         devices be capable of recording certain transaction
    6         information; providing an effective date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

   10         Section 1. Paragraph (i) is added to subsection (13) of
   11  section 849.0931, Florida Statutes, to read:
   12         849.0931 Bingo authorized; conditions for conduct;
   13  permitted uses of proceeds; limitations.—
   14         (13)
   15         (i) Instant bingo tickets may be dispensed, subject to the
   16  other provisions of this section, by an electronic or mechanical
   17  device. An electronic or mechanical device used to dispense such
   18  tickets is exempt from regulation under ss. 849.15 and 849.16.
   19  However, the device must be capable of recording each ticket
   20  dispensed, the number of coins or amount of money received for
   21  each ticket, and totals of each for all tickets dispensed.
   22         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2010.
