| 9 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |
| 10 |

| 11 | Section 1. Subsection (14) is added to section 553.73, |
| 12 | Florida Statutes, to read: |
| 13 | 553.73 Florida Building Code.- |
| 14 | (14) The provisions of section R313 of the most current |
| 15 | version of the International Residential Code relating to |
| 16 | mandated fire sprinklers may not be incorporated into the |
| 17 | Florida Building Code as adopted by the Florida Building |
| 18 | Commission and may not be adopted as a local amendment to the |
| 19 | Florida Building Code. |
| 20 | Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2010. |
