| 9 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |
| 10 |

| 11 | Section 1. Subsection (10) is added to section 1009.26, |
| 12 | Florida Statutes, to read: |
| 13 | 1009.26 Fee waivers.- |
| 14 | (10) A state university or community college may waive |
| 15 | tuition and fees for full-time public school instructional |
| 16 | personnel who meet academic requirements for up to 6 credit |
| 17 | hours per term for courses approved by the Department of |
| 18 | Education. For purposes of this subsection, public school |
| 19 | instructional personnel are K-12 personnel defined in s. |
| 20 | 1012.01(2) |
| 21 | Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2010. |
