| 6 | WHEREAS, with commitment, determination, and hard work, the |
| 7 | 2009-2010 Bartow High School Boys' Basketball Team won the |
| 8 | Florida High School Athletic Association Class 5A State |
| 9 | Championship on March 4, 2010, at The Lakeland Center by beating |
| 10 | Sickles High School by a score of 53 to 41, and |
| 11 | WHEREAS, along the way to claiming the State Championship |
| 12 | title, the 2009-2010 Bartow High School Boys' Basketball Team |
| 13 | compiled a 25-5 season record, and |
| 14 | WHEREAS, outstanding skill, sportsmanship, and |
| 15 | competitiveness have been characteristics consistently |
| 16 | demonstrated by Bartow Yellow Jackets teammates Weedlens |
| 17 | Beauvil, Adrian Brackins, Roy'Quies Graham, Tevin Grant, Deandre |
| 18 | Joe, Richard Murvin, Reginald Polite, Vincent Reid, Rodrick |
| 19 | Robinson, Jeremiah Samarrippas, Akeem Severin, Rodney Smith, |
| 20 | Deone'Ta Levy, and Jordan White, and |
| 21 | WHEREAS, led by Head Coach Terrence McGriff and Assistant |
| 22 | Coaches Marlon Austin, Ledarion Jones, Larry Tucker, Howe |
| 23 | Wallace, and Robert Webb, the Bartow Yellow Jackets accomplished |
| 24 | the team's goal to win the 5A state title, and |
| 25 | WHEREAS, the 2010 championship marks the fourth Florida |
| 26 | High School Athletic Association State Championship for the |
| 27 | Bartow High School Boys' Basketball Team, and |
| 28 | WHEREAS, it is with great pride that the 2009-2010 Bartow |
| 29 | High School Boys' Basketball Team is applauded for the numerous |
| 30 | accomplishments of its players and coaches, NOW, THEREFORE, |

| 36 | 2010 Bartow High School Boys' Basketball Team for their |

| 39 | BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be |
| 40 | presented to the 2009-2010 Bartow High School Boys' Basketball |
| 41 | Team as a tangible token of the sentiments expressed herein. |
